I want to thank you for inviting me here today to talk about Financial Regulation in the context of personal debt and reforming the law in this area.
As you know, the Financial Regulator supports the change in the law to ensure that people will not face jail where they are willing but unable to repay loans to financial institutions and we engaged with the Law Reform Commission in its work in this area.
