The Financial Regulator has supervisory responsibility for three professional bodies that have been approved to regulate their own members in respect of the provision of investment business services by these members. The provision of such services is on the basis that these services are incidental to the main professional services provided by the member.

Approved Professional Bodies are liable to pay an annual flat rate levy. In 2009, this levy is €1,600.
